Through a diverse range of visual outcomes - from large-scale site specific installations that fill the space with poetic reflections and expose the hidden histories and depths of buildings, to collage, text, prints or even the arrangement of more unlikely materials such as flour and bread – Fi creates her work with a balanced sensitivity and connects us to how we experience life.

Her curiosity with 'what went before' has led her on many journeys, both literally and philosophically.  The unique way she processes these 'time travels' results in images and artworks which emanate calm and tranquillity, but which hold within them a question.

With her project management, curation and arts and health experience, Fi is also in her element when creating art in response to a specific site, space or social history.

Fi has been described as a polymath and her work has been exhibited in London, Berlin, Bristol, Derby and Nottingham, with recent works in The Royal Academy, Cork Street, and the Royal West Academy.

Creativity enables a ‘travelling’ experience, a discovery of the unfamiliar and for something magical to happen.
It is the almost ritualistic underlying processes which are important.

These visual representations of meditations are the tools by which I express realisations and enable connections. I aim to articulate creativity itself.

My practice is open and I value not being able to predict outcomes; this sense of creative freedom lets the work lead me where it wants to go, somewhere I didn’t even know I wanted to go before I got there!
